Bradford Houchins Jr., CFP® is Vice President, Planning and Wealth Advisor for River Wealth Advisors. Bradford brings nearly 25 years of experience in financial services on the custodian side of the industry. Throughout his career, Bradford has provided expert-level financial planning and investment guidance to affluent individuals and retirement plan participants. At River Wealth, Bradford offers personalized planning working with both Charles Schwab and Fidelity as the firm’s partner custodians.

Bradford is a graduate of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ accreditation from the CFP Board. 

In his spare time, Bradford enjoys swimming competitively and spending time with his family.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

What I enjoy most about my role is helping clients develop the confidence they need to live the life they have been dreaming of their entire career. Most of all, having them share how they should have done all the things they were dreaming of earlier but didn’t have the confidence to do.

What do you love most about being part of river wealth advisors?

What I love most about being part of River Wealth Advisors is I am finally part of a team that not only says that the client is the most important part, but they actually mean it.

What are your favorite hobbies?

I enjoy staying healthy by working out and swimming competitively. I also enjoy spending time with my three kids building Legos, cheering them on with my wife at their sporting events, and cooking Sunday family dinners with my mom.

what is your favorite book?

“My Side of the Mountain” by Jean Craighead George

what was your first job?

My first job was working for my dad at his Autobody shop where I learned about cars and many life lessons.

what are your bucket list vacation spots?

I look forward to retiring one day with my wife and traveling around the country in a an RV – going wherever the wind takes us.

What's the best advice you've ever received?

“You don’t know what you don’t know.”
