Benjamin Dum, CFP® is Senior Vice President, Planning and Wealth Advisor for River Wealth Advisors. He has spent over 25 years in the financial services industry helping high-net worth clients identify their financial objectives and needs, then building personalized plans that help them meet those goals.

Ben is a graduate of Penn State University and received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ accreditation from the CFP Board. As an active member of the community, Ben serves as Board Treasurer and Chairman of the Finance Committee for the Partnership for Better Health.

In his spare time, Ben enjoys running, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.

What do you enjoy most about your current job?

What I enjoy most about my role is helping our clients navigate through their personal and family financial decisions. Many clients work a lifetime to achieve financial independence and I am grateful to assist in helping them achieve their desired outcomes.

What do you love most about being part of river wealth advisors?

What I love most about being a part of River Wealth is working in a team environment to serve and put our clients’ interests first. I am fortunate to have built a relationship with many team members over the last 20+ years.

What are your favorite hobbies?

My favorite hobbies are spending time with my wife Heather and our sons, Ben and Jake. We enjoy traveling to see Ben play minor-league baseball and spending time with Jake pursuing his interests in the outdoors. I personally enjoy running, hiking, and spending time with our extended families and friends.

what is your favorite book?

“Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand.

what was your first job?

I was very fortunate to have grown up on a dairy farm outside of New Bloomfield, PA, where we currently reside. Some of the most important life lessons, including work ethic, were received working alongside my parents and relatives.

what are your bucket list vacation spots?

My wife and I have spent the majority of our travel the past 25 years following our sons’ passions. As we move into a new phase of our life, some of the places we would love to visit include Machu Picchu, Yellowstone, and the Pacific Coast.
